I got my jeans almost irrevocably muddy taking this picture. And this poem kept tumbling down the steps toward me...asking ever so gently to be taken into consideration the next time I go rolling around in life's muck.

If you read my other blog, My Best Friend's Arm, then you know I love music.

What you might not know is that while I'm listening to various people tell me what they feel...I am feeling many other types of pain and wonder and joy and squirmy humanity.

So I take pictures. Or at least I try to. Am trying to. But why not pair what I see with what I hear? So I'm pairing the words of beautiful people (poets, writers, lyricists) with visions of the new things I'm trying to see.

Like a Jesuit once related to author Anne Lamott, maybe Heaven is just getting a new pair of glasses.
